Description
It was time for the show jumping at Royal Ashcroft and Sebestjen and Stormeld trotted calmly into the indoor arena. The stallion looked around with big brown eyes, but yet he stayed calm.Everything went fine over the first fences but when the combination came closer, Stormeld and Sebbe judged the distance wrong. Stormeld wanted to jump earlier and did so, changed his mind and landed just infront of the jump and jumped up from almost sitting position. The audience held their breath as the equipage tried to clear the jump.
Stormeld stumbled on the other side of the jump. He had just touched the bar so it rolled in it's hinges.
Sebbe lost his balance and was on his way to knock Stormeld by the neck, but managed to stay put. He looked up as Stormeld collected his feet underneath and saw the next jump in the combination coming fast and dangerously. Would they make it? The odds didn't look good!
Show: Royal Ashcroft Stables Three Day Event / Show Jumping [link]
Horse: RDS Stormeld
Rider: Sebestjen Fekete
Stable: Rosendal Stables
Number: 55.

Why always draw a show pic when a horse clears the jump perfectly? I wanted to do something dramatical with this one

There should be more of such pictures.
That makes competitions much more exciting!

Oh my! This picture is painful for me to look at. Drawing a situation that isn't perfect was an excellent idea, though!

Oh this looks great and it's a nice idea to draw a horse which doesn't jump perfectly over the obstacle.
I really like it and I hope that they'll make it.

This kinda thing happened recently at the Red Hills Horse Trials.
The Red Hills Horse Trials in Tallahassee, Fla., was marked by tragedy this weekend. Olympic rider Darren Chiacchia was severely injured when the horse he was riding, Baron Verdi, took a misstep and somersaulted March 15, during the cross-country portion of the three-day eventing competition. The horse was apparently uninjured, but Chiacchia was airlifted to the Neuro Intensive Care Unit at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. He sustained a severe head injury and contusions to both lungs, with multiple rib fractures and a partially collapsed lung. Initial concerns about spinal injury were alleviated after extensive specialized testing.
According to reports, Chiacchiaβs pulmonary function is improving, but the head injury continues to be a major concern. His overall condition shows definite improvement, but he still remained unconscious Monday. Chiacchiaβs family and close friends are with him and remain optimistic he will continue a slow, but steady, recovery.

Haha... I have only ever entered one show in HARPG. And my horse came 1st lol So I have no idea what it feels like to lose. But... I've entered many more shows that judging hasn't happened yet... But... I hope they win!
