Replying to your reply: They were the original 2nd generation starters when the game was still being developed. Chikorita, Cyndaquill, and Totodile took their places. Their names were kurusu (Water type) Honoguma (Fire type that looks like raichu) and Happa (Grass type that bears a huge resemblance to chikorita)
