That interesting!... I drew him a couple months ago for the same exact reason, barely watched the show but liked the concept of the series. However I was more driven by the fan art more then anything eles. Here is a link if you want to see it ( Haida )
out of curiosity... was the piece I made one of the ones you had seen prior to drawing this? I only ask because the poses and expressions are a lot alike.

I understand you! I can draw a character without looking at the show, just because of artistic interest. Unfortunately, I am not impressed by many relatively modern cartoons...
