I miss traditional Animation as well there is just something about the artist hand that makes the look of the animation so Aesthetically pleasing. While there aren't too many 2D films in theaters these days there are however several independent 2D film projects coming up including one from Don Bluth that looks promising, so perhaps in the near future we will see 2D make a come back.

me too, altough lately are several very good 3d animation movies. but very far from things as AKIRA s sample , in the old animation style, or some lot simplest but still evry enjoyable as the tiny toons movie x3
