Mamis death was one of the few scenes in anime that really made me feel bad. I liked her so much and thought she would come back .. oh well.

There was someone who was heavily criticizing the show on a Youtube video. However I give the person credit for at least watching the entire show and sometimes responding to criticisms that are "fanboy/fangirlish". Though some criticisms were either interesting or just, and I initially agreed to them (as I do sometimes), I thought about it and found it incorrect, and concluded they watched the show but didn't think about certain elements or the like. The person was hanging around on the OST because they liked it a lot.
The criticisms mainly revolved around how all of the characters are bland and lack personality, and only serve certain purposes to the plot. While these criticisms are true, I do not think the latter part is necessarily a bad thing because they are all allegories, and when you think about their roles, I do not think they lack any depth or whatnot: even Sayaka. Instead those criticisms made me think about the show and like it more.

The scene that made me tear up is when Kyoko died, which is funny considering she has the least amount of development, and to this day I'm not even sure why it did make me tear up.

Yes: It is a good piece for sure. I do not draw so I cant comment on those but it is certainly a really nice piece that just draws Mami as is. Some people are... y'know...

Oh, no need to apologize! I love reading long comments, hehe.

Well, I guess people's tastes are different. For me, the characters didn't really lack personality. Each of them had individual main features, which made them either lovable or, depending on the personal view, less lovable. 

Of course, theres always room for improvement, but I think they did it just right. Maybe it's also fair to say that I'm not 'that much' of an expert, when it comes to anime .. but still, I really enjoyed the plot. Also .. feels! Not many shows are able to do that, hehe. To be quite honest, the most interesting character for me was Kyubey, although many people tend to hate him. 

And yeah, the scene with Kyoko was kinda sad, but more because of the dramatic music and the interaction with Sayaka. D:

That's good then! I am a conversationalist, or have been called one before... XD I can get lengthy... lemme know if it's too much ;___;

I think their roles or viewpoints on life (as they all had different ones that relate to the theme), so it makes up for a lack of personality if that bothers people. I mean, I think it depends: considering how short the story is it is hard to develop a unique personality that is fully developed for each character (I personally think most of the issues the show has revolve around lack of time).
I agree with you, generally. Some characters I find I wold not like as a person, like Sayaka or Kyoko, but as a character, I like them a lot: and Kyoko is weird. Maybe I like her because I know people who appear as jerks but really aren't. I don't even know.

The show certainly has flaws, but from my viewing I was completely able to overlook some of those flaws.. My point being is it should be weighted whether or not those flaws are just part of the choices made that some people inevitably won't like (matters of taste) versus things that are actual concerns. Normally I am just totally uninterested in what I view, though I remember being entirely invested in this. I don't think you need to be an expert on anime, but rather just stories.... And maybe not even, so long as you have constructive thoughts/arguments that's all you need.... XD I'm no expert either, though I'm very critical, and I have had people tell me my thoughts aren't bad, even if I'm not an anime fan (personally dislike a majority of anime or common tropes). The show certainly evoked feels, which again is rare, normally I'm very apathetic even when I know something is sad. mami's death for instance was a REALLY heavy scene for me. I didn't cry, but it certainly blew my mind and I remember walking into my sister's room to watch more (interrupted for dinner), and I was just nodding, because I had nothing to say. My sister points out how I was going to leave several times before then. Kyubey's origins bother me, but as a character he's far from "just a dick", as that one dissenter argued.

You're worried about your English? It seems pretty good! I'm a grammar nazi, but I don't chew people out for it... So long as the other person is reasonable and not being rude. I've had intelligent conversations with people who had atrocious punctuation and grammar, and terrible ones with those who could spell, but were just DBS.
