With the debut of Sylva, the Goddess of the Hunt, it was only fair that she was put into a perilous situation. Now, with Sylva's experience as a master hunter, it was only fair to give her a creature that was far more challenging than a snake. Instead, she's going up against a Hydra.

Now, in the Fang-verse (as some people put it), Sylva handles dangerous creatures that could bring disaster to the jungle. Hydra's are super-predators that can easily throw off the balance of life in the jungle; especially if too many are born to over-run an ecosystem. These voracious predators can grow massive, too massive for even Sylva to handle alone; where she has to form hunting parties.

Now, in this case, Sylva is fighting a young Hydra. While not as incredibly massive as adult Hydras, this young Hydra presents a formidable challenge. Powerful, durable and longer than all other snakes (except for Violet, Fang's companion, and Slither), it can easily match Sylva in strength; who is stronger and a better fighter than Fang. Plus, the fact that it can grow heads doesn't help, as this Hydra has three heads attacking Sylva. One's trying to eat her head first, the second is working on wrapping around her, and the third is apparently going to swallow her feet-first. This presents a challenge for Sylva, but I think she'll do fine. Afterall, she ain't going to be taken down that easily.
