I use Adobe Illustrator and the greater part of a day it seems for the single characters... My next one is going to be a bit more involved so it may take some time....
As for technique? ... Starts with building a lot of shapes out of elipses, pathfinder, pen tool fun, the odd bezier curve and lots of coffee.? Your question was a bit broad, can you be more specific?

To be more specific, what I meant was, how do you make a vector? I've seen an abundant amount of other MLP vectors, and it interests me, on how I would make one.
The MLP designers make different poses. But people like you create different poses for them, that MLP hasn't used or something like that.
