Thanks! Yeah it's a fun forum! Gonna try to get more menfolk in there! It's weird because I promised myself to make every entry a digital one, so I do all this stuff traditionally during the day and sometimes lose track and just have to throw some digital on there :V

I've been good! Working on my portfolio! I'm up in MT for a little bit longer because I missed signups for my class but I'll be back in CA soon. Just taking a little longer because ... why go back if there's nothing there atm haha How is everything going with you?

Cool, I bet you have a lot of stuff for your portfolio since you've been drawing a lot lately. Sucks you missed the sign-up for the class you wanted in CA. But, I think hanging out with your family in MT is better than being in a stressful environment with your family in CA, especially since you were going through some medical stuff. Hope you're doing better with your health.

As for me, I've been applying for jobs, but with no avail. Still in good spirits though. I'm also working on my portfolios, one for copy writing and one for graphic design.

Portfolios are so stressful!! ;_; I feel so overwhelmed dealing with them! I'm glad you are keeping up the good work and applying and stuff. I always feel... so weird applying. And trying to figure out how to look professional. Ahhhh

I'm never sure if I have the right things in my portfolio. Whenever I'm done with them, I might ask a few people here to look at it and give me pointers. It's always good to have a second opinion.
After applying for so many jobs, I don't worry about it and just let my resume and cover letter speak for themselves (though I know those need some work xD). I just keep what I say in the email simple.

Yeah! IDK it's just all weird. I feel so young and dumb half the time I'm like "am I supposed to sound professional here? How do you even sound professional?" I'd love to see some of your port stuff sometime

Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't think you have to be TOO formal since you're going into an industry that isn't suit and tie seriousness.
For sure, I'll definitely like some input. I'd love to see yours too. If you want a second opinion on yours, I'll be glad to help!
