So, this is my newest OC! I've been working on her design for ages to get her how i wanted! Fuck i love her!!So, she is a Mix of Spiny Flower Mantis's which you can find pics and info here :-amazinglist.net/2013/03/7-amaz⦠. They are such fasinating creatures, and i always wanted a cute mantis monster girl, so here she is! She was a lot of fun to design and i hope you guys will like her
Her Arm things are bandaged shut so she cant accidentally eat someone with them (they have mouths inside) and the blue on the back of her legs is actually a type of liquid that can hold fish and other water creatures. She does have wings but she can mold them into her back to make it look like she doesn't have any. She can curl her tail up and produce massive spikes through the soft underside. The spikes on top are for show and are quiet squishy.
ALSO!! I DID A SPEED PAINTING OF THIS! To try and clear my name and because some people suggested it might help with all of the tracing crap

And before anyone else asks, no she isn't inspired by cteno. She is an insect, not a slime thing and her arm things open up how else was i supposed to draw a mantis girl without those arm things

To be honest i really dont care anymore, ive had enough of Slugbox and his followers to last me a life time. He used to be an inspiration but hes lost his charm a long time a go. Cteno is just a goo mantis, nothing originl about that anymore and there are plenty of ocs ive seen that look a lot more like her than this one, which like i said looks a lot different now. The only reason you'd be commenting on this is to start shit up again as you wpuld off seen others comment the exact same thing, so whatever carry on but like i said i just dont care, sorry.

Im not being defensive at all, im just saying ive had enough and dont care for people coming on my page to shit stir when I've already been through enough when it comes to slugbox! Hes the disrespectful one constantly blaming me for tracing his work when i put up so much evidence of where my poses and such come from i have no need to copy his stuff im quiet capable of drawing and designing my own work.Β

I can see why people would resemble you to cteno, but there's a few things that made it different, the feet, head, hair and arm/ear things coming off the head are all different. Not to mention the claws have a line between them to signify that they open and close, I wouldn't be surprised to see you had some inspiration from the artist, but an all out copy and paste? This certainly is not.

Come off what on not on anything, And im not mindlessly following him, i watch his stream from time to time thats about it, and like the art, i am never like OMFG NEW ART MUST DOWNLOAD. he juat another talented artist i enjoy, and let me state this again I am not harassing someone, i am pointing out the fact that that his style is pretty much Slugboxs. it matter because i like to see originality. if he developed his own style i would be more impressed. i do like the artist coloring but the style is a clear wannabe style

Thanks, but i think its only because of the tail to be honest. Like i've said in a few other comments, my oc is a mantis not a slime girl and her insect arms open and have mouths in them. I'm also in the process of changing her tail a little bit so there is no more conflict between the two.

No its ok, i admire people who look out for other artists! I understand where your coming from, but i didnt intend for her to be similar, i re drew her like 6 times? and i was happy with this, but it seems his fans loose their shit over it like the lovely soul above us, commenting and trying to put my style into the ground.
Im going to change her up a little, her tail a little too, but i honestly got her tail from spiny praying mantis's, they have a spiky curly tail like the one i drew. They are super cool!
