i don't think mine is very interesting since I don't have that many included here ://

was tagged by crylica-kress and immediately went to do it cos i can't draw- lunar new year calls so happy new year to those who celebrate it!! I tag everyone that is mentioned on my page to do this, I'm curious too : D I guess I'll go through this briefly cos it's quite a few yeah the picture speaks for itself;; some influenced my style, but most of them influenced the concepts and themes in my art (:

started watching her speedpaints on youtube and really admired her use of watercolour/acrylics/ink omg;;; watching those videos always wanted to make me paint and I loved her painting technique adhsfjljflafdlf probably the reason why a lot of my art has purple/red/blue tones (and so does this meme haha)

//Kelogsloops//
one of my all-time favourite watercolour artists because of his beautiful art, videos and personality ;v ; really fell in love with his use of negative space and lighting in a lot of his more recent works and his bleeding watercolour washes and use of metallic inks.. I don't know what to say but I just really admire him as an artist and person (fellow viet-aus too !!)

//Ouran Highschool Host Club (by Bisco Hatori)//
no shame of putting this in HHAHAAH it was one of my first animes along with One Piece and both the art and story still inspires me today aaa especially all the individual characters cos it shows each of their struggles no matter where they stand in society (: and also cos of the fact that they live such carefree lives.. the nostalgia;; i've rewatched/reread it countless times and cried each time

//Miho Hirano//
discovered her art through finding oil painters to study for VA hahah but I really love her pieces and how they link so well with the sea/sky/flowers, it's so naturalistic and her style is so smooth and gentle ;w; I also love how isolated each piece is but the atmosphere of each is so peaceful and flows so well with her themes hhh

my favourite modern surrealist artist <33 the reason why i started to take interest in surrealism cos school made it such a bore.. found her through one of her youtube videos (haha lots of my influences are from yt) and I lovelovelove her style omg- really wished I knew about her earlier than I did cos she is such an inspiration ;v; she's also a big influence as a self-employed full-time artist, really gives me hopes that it's possible to become an artist for a living despite not studying art earlier on, and her stories and experiences are so insightful;; not to mention how gorgeous her art and oil paintings are *a*

//Wenqing Yan (Yuumei)//
no doubt yuumei is a big inspiration to many, because I really admire how she brings light to struggles in both her personal life and global problems we all are involved in somehow, like environmentalism- and spreading awareness through her art;; her work '1000 words' was really touching and she also inspired me to also want to experiment with different perspectives

//Koro Sensei (Ansatsu Kyoushitsu)//
this one is so random but korosensei made me believe in many, many things and the series itself was really cool cos it transcends stereotypes and gives way to the fact that intellectual and physical differences don't matter :'))

//Jun Sung Ahn (JuNCurryAhn)//
not exactly a visual artist but one of my earliest inspirations cos i remember coming across his violin covers years ago aaahfkhgfkds I'm not a musician myself but music influences me in many ways and he made me love the violin ; v; also my bias from BgA so pls come on

//BTS//
it's their fault that half of my life has wasted away, and it's also thanks to these boys that I can survive through school/stress/depression + the 24702480 things that come with the negative side of life, even though it's only been about a year since I started to stan them despite knowing them for a few years before- their songs, their personalities, their messages and interactions with so many people around the world aaa ; v; and I haven't even started on how i started to get serious about realism (well.. more like developing my style to be more semi-realistic)// although the tons of fanart does have creativity limits, I've also been able to meet more people cos of it and improve my art as a whole after taking an interest in drawing real people ` v`)9

//NanoMortis//
last but definitely not least, nanomortis' art is senpai material cos their style is so unique and ethereal adhsdhskjkl;; it's surreal but different to other artists in that it's so geometric and raw but it's so expressive *A* it's been something that I've tried aiming for in my art; to create the same mood but obv I need more work, and it's not like I've posted it here anyway orz

I could probably make a huge never-ending list but I didn't want to clutter the post so yeah :"))
