A very sad and dark AU to my story/Amphibia AU called the Incredi-Amphibians, in this AU during Coregirl’s interrogation the electricity from her restraints is too much for her to handle and the electricity stops her heart

killing her instantly just as the Boonchuy-Wu family arrives on the island too late to rescue her as a result the Omnidroid’s launch is prevented and Darkstorm is arrested for his crimes and is currently on death row

however because of not getting to Nomanisan to save Marcy on time her grieving widowed wife Anne blames her only son Sprig for not getting them to the island in time to save them with his superspeed

and in her grief because downright Emotionally abusive towards Sprig, now in this timeline Superheroes are made legal once again after news about Darkstorm and his evil deeds on killing other superheroes and his omnidroid plan were announced by the government

which in turn resulted in the public demanding that supers be legalized again which with the help of Andrias became a reality

Sprig becomes a super like his mother Marcy before him as a way to cope with the loss of his mother and to cope with his other mother Anne’s emotional abuse on him

although Marcy’s body is physically dead, her spirit lives on and has decided not to move on to the afterlife just yet wanting to stay in the world of the living to wait for her family to join her so they can head to the afterlife together as a family

because of that Marcy has witnessed the family’s grieving and needless to say is angry and disappointed that Anne has blamed Sprig for something that wasn’t even his fault and due to the laws of nature

Marcy can’t really communicate with her family and they in turn can’t see her or communicate with her so seeing Sprig crying out in a public park tries her best to comfort him by putting her hand on her son’s shoulder

although it phases through him and he can’t see or feel it
