Description
Coconut Island has plenty of fun and games and Coconuts for anyone who wants to visit, but there are dangers on the island as well. Don't wonder off the beaten path into the jungle, and especially stay away from the south side of the island where all of the bad things happen. Or else Hula Girl will have to scoop you up and save you from... Okay going to the south side of the island may be a good idea after all.

Hula Girl herself isn't disagreeing, though that might be because she's a little busy.

"To the last, I grapple with thee; From Hell's heart, I stab at thee; For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee."

So while being on 's stream, he'd every once in a while bring up having a interest in redoing his old pic of Hula Girl fighting a plant, and I really liked that idea, so I figured I'd might as well put in for it and give him a reason to draw it, so here we are, a wonderful recreation of an amazing drawing. I absolutely love how this turned out, it's an absolutely amazing action shot for Hula Girl, her posing is great, clearly proving those legs aren't just for show, but are very powerful as shown by not just her holding open the maw with just her bare feet, but is also holding off the vines trying to pull her legs lose, all while holding them in a pretty flexible position. Her spear is also very well drawn, with it going more towards the viewer as Hula Girl tries to push it down onto the plant while having to fight against all the vines restraining her arms. Her expression clearly shows just how mad she is, as well as how much effort she has to put into this situation, combine that with the loose hair, the sweat and her slightly torn skirt, it's clear that while she does still have a good change of winning, things are clearly not going as she hoped they would. Though one things is for certain, even if it isn't going great for her, she still looks amazing. The plant is also drawn great, it's clearly a little bit bigger as indicated by the position of Hula Girl's legs compared to the original, adding to the already threatening look it has with all it's teeth showing a really clear danger, and it's tongue and all the saliva in it showing it wants a taste of Hula Girl. And of course, it's leaves bellow it do a great job and giving it a base while also hiding the ground and making it all look a lot bigger. The vines also look great and a bit less cluttered then the original, not just being green stems but coming with some fun purple leaves, and they've all been wrapped around Hula Girl in places you can see them being useful for pulling her somewhere, the ones trying to stop the spear, the ones trying to get her legs lose and the one trying to possibly shift her so she'd slip in much more nicely, they're all great. And of course, the background, while nothing too special, does a nice job at showing they're in the middle of a jungle. Further more, the warpaint is a fun little extra version Sho did that makes a nice addition to an already great pic. This turned out to be an absolutely amazing picture that I hope you all enjoy!
