Time was running out for Lucia as the quicksand was climbing up her neck. She was straining to get at least one arm free to grab the vine while Anna was making her way up a nearby tree to throw down one of the vines. As if the quicksand had been loosened up from her previous struggles, Lucia put in as much power as she had and managed to get her left arm free. 'There! Now, please hurry, Anna...'
