I've finally thought of a name for Leviathan/Legend of Korra crossovers:LEGEND OF LEVIATHAN!
It's an alliteration AND the abbreviation is LoL.... lolz...
I did a name cross with LoK instead of AtLA because LoK has the whole 1920's era thing going that AtLA doesn't. And also, what was I supposed to call it? Avatar the last Leviathan? Leviathan the Last Airbender?

Okay, so actually about the picture: Alek being... Alek. And Deryn being... a fanatic Darwinist. If she ever visited the LoK verse she'd be in heaven XD She's definitely an airbender. Alek, I would say is an earthbender or firebender. Earthy because he's from a land-locked country... firebender because of all the technical advancements of the fire nation that are so clanker. But not an equalist- because he definitely struggles with accepting equality
But I think we should vote whether he's an earthbender or firebender (or non-bender for that matter...)- VOTE IN THE COMMENTS

I will be in a minority but if I look only at his character, Alek feels like more of a Waterbender or possibly an Earthbender to me. He's not at all reckless and hot-headed enough to be a Firebender, he's rather sensitive and conservative and wherever he does rash things, it's for the good of the community or his loved ones. Clankers definitely do resemble Fire nation though. As for Deryn's character, other than her obvious affinity for air she doesn't have the peaceful and spiritual nature of an Airbender. I could see her as an Earthbender instead - she bears many similarities with Toph

I think of Alek as a waterbender too!!! I'm not sure about Deryn though - air does seem to be her thing and she shares many characteristics with Aang, so most likely an airbender!

I'd say Earthbender because he likes to be...grounded? In a grounded situation, rather. Yes, that's better. He likes it when things stay the same...
But I like the Firebender thing. And I just read some of the other comments and OOH YES THAT IS PERFECT, THE LIGHTNING BENDING THING. *squeals* He could have figured it out by using Tesla's cane, No, that's dumb. TT_TT

XD If you really want it to be something else, it can. Whenever my siblings and I are trying to decide what type of benders we are, half of us say one thing, and the others say a different type. I'm apparently both water and earth. ^^

I think he's a firebender. Just 'cause of smoke and fire relating to machines and such, plus just the way he acts. Deryn is totally an airbender, though I dunno how that would work. Maybe she wouldn't be a bender at all? 
I also have this headfanon in which Deryn is the avatar in one of those firebenders being buttheads times. Them trying to find the avatar and either kill them or use the avatar's power for themselves, so she disguises herself as a boy because they know what girl Deryn looks like, and they'll be looking for a girl. XD And she meet Alek, who is a prince on the run for one of those evil uncle storylines, like his parents died or whatever, his uncle got the throne until Alek becomes of age and uncle's wife had a baby so the uncle tried to kill him so his son could take the throne. You know, a classic Prince Caspian story thing. XD I would totally read that, but I'm too lazy to write it. Leviathan/Avatar crossovers make me hyped.

Unfortunately I'll be siding with the firebender sentiment Obviously he should also be an Equalist tech user. d: In my mind, prince/royalty corresponds most closely to firebending so... Plus, I like the lightning idea XP

I've discovered that there are several people who draw quite well throughout Dalek week. But now I can't keep track of who has what drawing style... @__@

Yeah, i draw differently when i draw traditionally... it's weird. It might also have something to do with the fact that i sketched it at work and i don't like pwople watching me draw so i was drawing kinda fast and more abbreviated shapes.
But i know what you mean! I've seen so much improvement in all our work. I'm so proud of us leviathan fans ^^

Hm, interesting. I'm wondering if I do too... Well, 98% of my traditional drawings are done in pen, so that makes a huge difference in terms of editability level. So maybe! 
haha, I definitely don't like having people watch me draw either. I feel so self-conscious, especially since I'm not that great. 
But yes! Improvement! I mentioned to ~ThePrinceOfParties that it was interesting to see the development in everyone's art! (from last Dalek week to this Dalek week in particular XP)

I've got a feeling that Alek would be a firebender. A very very awkward firebender. I did think about him being an earthbender, but the lightning/electricity that comes with being a firebender just matches up with him perfectly. Remember the last book with Tesla? It'd be perfect.

I was leaning towards earthbender, but the whole thing with the fire nation being technologically advanced coincides with the Clankers and such pulled me to the firebender side, haha.
