I like this shot a lot, the muted colours and the shallow depth of field work really well. There is a warm feeling about this which just appeals to me, and certainly fits your title e.deviantart.net/emoticons/n/n⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="
" title="Nod"/> And especially those purples and blues in the shadows really give this photo depth and a richness, that caught my eye.
However, if you don't mind a little critique...the overall shot feels quite centered. That takes away suspense, as the eye goes immediately to the focal point, without exploring the image. Giving your subject a little room to breathe and maybe even going for a wider crop might be a good idea. Personally I would have liked to see more to the left, as that's the direction into which the twig leans, on which you focused. And those rich darks there will give it an even stronger focus.
Also, I find the border you chose quite distracting. It creates a good deal of contrast around the edges, which draws the eye from the picture. A slightly wider, simple black frame would probably work better e.deviantart.net/emoticons/n/n⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="
" title="Nod"/>
But those little things aside, lovely work!
Daniel

Can I have your camera, please? LOL. I love this picture! The green is really bright and I love the clear vs. blurry.

As I get so many deviations in my devwatch I can't spend too long looking through them. So I pretty much flick through them, so when one catches my eye I know it deserves a fan.
This photo was one of those to catch my eyes in between 127 other deviations. Its not bright or anything over the top, its simple and the colors are natural and smooth. Its a beautiful photo and you've captured the shot perfectly <3

Very nice work! I like the sharpness against the blurry. The colours are great, and the light falling through the branches too.

Thank you for commenting. I must admit it was hard to focus on due to the wind blowing them around so i guess this was a pretty lucky shot.

Yeah, it was a glorious day aswell. I had the same problem with the daffodils, i came back with around 3/4 of my shots blurry which was quite annoying.
