Description Too easily, I lose my course
A shoreless ship, astray,
With no direction, widens berth
Though windless sails don't sway.

The rot creeps 'round the mizzenmast
And claims the galley door,
While termites settle to repast
Upon my cabin floor.

A man of vision, full of thoughts,
Was what I claimed to be.
But ships will slip from half-tied knots,
And from their owners, flee.

And though the ocean calls my name,
The Reaper counts each soul the same.

Whoa, I especially love the ending. It brings such an eerie feeling to mind, with a damp and creepy atmosphere, though I noticed that both this one and the No Atlantis one, both have themes of the sea or sea related things, is the sea something specific that drives you to write or a very good source of inspiration for you? Because it seems really interesting. Great work, btw

Thanks, and yes, the ocean is a very powerful inspiration for me.  Not for any specific reason, it's just always spoken to me, and I always write a poem whenever I go there.
