They are not affected by alcohol because kindred cannot consume it or any other food for that matter. The only thing they can ingest is blood and if they actually tried to eat or drink something else they would violently vomit.

Didn't you realise he actually left you to die? I'm pretty sure it was risky to tell you there was a bomb, yet even when you were honest to anarchs more than anyone the ending would be the same.

he saves the protagonist when there is a blood hunt for the fledgling. He is expecting the fledgling to be smarter and less power-hungry than the Prince. It's like what he said the first time you talk with him on the bar, something around 'You are new so you gotta do what you gotta do. But there be a time when that excuse doesn't fly anymore.' Then about 'but the Prince can dominate your mind since you are higher generation, the fledgling is somewhat special, too powerful for a freshly turned, probably Jack can sense that just as the Tremere chief can.
