Last random horse-man sketch for a while, for real this time. Thought I'd try to figure out how I'd go about finalizing a piece done in this style -- lines, colors, whatever. Uh, I don't have the foggiest. I might try to paint this one out later, but that's experimentation for another day, hah.Threw in a lazy background to try an show he's leanin' on some horizontal plane thar.
Also how do horse pants work? I don't know.

I tried doing a coloured sketch style thing once, [link] , and I found it frustrating trying to stay within the lines. Sketch lines aren't really well defined (mine weren't) and I thought maybe using a hard brush was a bad idea. But lookin' at yours here, you have your lines thicker than mine, and that makes it look a lot better.
My only critic is that the one hand looks sketchier than the rest, making it kinda stand out, and that the lines in the hair are lighter than the fill.
But I think I like the horse pants. And the colour scheme really suits him. I still like that red coat you gave him in your first painting ha ha. This cartoony version makes him look a bit younger though, and maybe it would quite fit anymore. (style wise)

I have no idea how lines work, hahah. I've pretty much decided that I'm gonna stick to linelessness fer finalized pieces, but I'll definitely keep usin' sketches like this. Also Frolo? Hahahah. Awesome. An' I like your rendition of Dawnspark. X3
An' yeah, I didn't wanna hafta erase around the lines I wanted, so I just left 'em there. Or MAYBE HIS HANDS ARE WOODEN?
An' I'll hafta play around with pants styles for his legs 'til I find how I think they look the best. Also I like that jacket too, hahah. This guy's basically just another avatar of me, so I'm projectin' my wardrobe on to him. Although he'll probably start dressin' crazier before I start accumulating the crazy clothes that I want, hah. Fer this sketch I just wanted ta stick ta somethin' simple. XD

I like this, but I will comment on the pants.. They should have some sort of fringe on the bottoms, or be a little tighter 'round the calf. But it's a nice sketch, definitely pursue further work with it.

Yeeeah, I don't draw clothing nearly as much as I should. I'll be the first to admit that I needa work on the logistics of my pants. Hahah.
I like the sound! "Chimp" was probably my favorite, but all the four there were all neat. Had I the power I'd throw some money your way for the album, but technically all of my dollars belong to my mom. Keep doin' what yer doin' though dood, an' thanks back at'cha.
