Yes, it's sad but true. AC series isn't a fairytaile or Disney film where the end is always happy. But still it's sad that Haytham must die.

Great picture! Beautiful scene and sad... Also I wanted to Connor finally hugged his father. But he could do it after Haytham death. It is a pity that he didn't in a game. It is a pity too that their relationship had to end with the death of one of them.I liked Their both. So i'm so excited that soon will be game with Haytham (AC Rogue)

yeh i bet he still loves his dad. after you kill him, you go Achilles home and go check the paintings of the templars. under Haytham's painting is something written in mohawk language. ''Sakataterihwáhten'' means ''i made a mistake''
