This is a Wolf Spider at the entrance of its home.

"Into the Wolves Den" captures the moment better, but I think this might be the better photo. Looking at the reflection in the spider's eyes, the sun and flash can both be seen because I had moved my shadow out of the way. As a result, the exposure was better in this shot. This was also taken at 1:1 magnification, and the details of the spider are way more visible. The head-on framing is also more purposeful.
