Lot of cool influences you have, like Chuck Jones, John K., Shane Glines, Ronald Searle, and Jack Cole.
However, I've been curious about the work of Jose Luis Moro lately and wanting to learn more about him. I do at least know he did some advertising work and was responsible for the Cantinflas cartoon. His style really interests me, but I'm not fluent in Spanish, even though I have studied it. Is it necessary to know Spanish to watch those cartoons? How did you watch them? You didn't have English subtitles to go by, did you?

I was looking at these three:
7. Jose Luis Moro/ Cantinflas
8. Pepo
9. Fantasio
Maybe since I'm using English google, but it was harder to find many images on them.

If you can get on Cartoon Retro, Shane Glines uploaded a lot of their work. That's where i first discovered them, and their work blew my mind. You can also find some of Cantinflas Show shorts that Moro worked on. Its a mixed bag, the good ones were made by a company called Diamex, i think. But than Hanna-Barbera got a hold of it, and made some atrocious ones. So be warned if you are searching them out on youtube, make sure to see the Diamex logo appear before the cartoon, if it does not, and its Hanna-Barbera its gonna be crappy. But the good ones are great, really fun and appealing designs. They are also on dvd, but again, you get a mix of the good and bad ones, and the number alternates per disc, so it's always a gamble. Hope this helps!

Probably Argento's best next to Suspiria. Although i do really enjoy Bird with the Crystal Plumage as well.

NIce, really glad you liked the shorts. THere are some really mind blowing ones. I remember spending a whole summer just watching them non stop! I have a bunch of the dvds and they are cheap to buy off amazon, but you have to be careful, because i guess at some point hanna barbara started doing some of them, and those ones look like shit. So the discs are made up of a split of like some of the good ones animated by Diamex, and the shitty ones by HB. So each disc is a gamble, you may get some really great ones a a few sucky ones or a bunch of sucky ones and only one or two good. But they are cheap dvds so it does not matter too much.

The fact that I know about 25% of just these you mentioned, shows I reeeaaalllly need to look into more artwork.
After seeing these influence maps I suddenly realize I barely know anything.

Ahh yes, i did not think anyone would either. I Like Argento's earlier films like Bird with the Crystal plumage, Four Flies on Grey Velvet, Deep Red, Suspiria, and ever Tenabrae. His other stuff is super hit or miss, most of the times miss though, sadly. I really like the Sergio Martino Gialli as well well. Glad someone noticed though
