Many years ago, Galleem was a powerful alien Space Keeper, fearless ruler of his own planet like the others, the beholder to none and protector of his people. Until he was betrayed by his own brother who was once a Space Keeper as well, Dharkon. All then he has been, all that he has known was stolen from him by his brother, who became a dark sorcerer and an ever-present evil known as the demonic alien god, Giygas. His power was stripped away and his people was enslaved! Galleem was left powerless to save them as he died at the hands of his traitorous brother. And yet, a part of him survived: his spirit, captured and preserved inside a mystical white gem as it flies off into the vast reaches of space. It's name echoes Galleem's rebirth: The Gem of Light!

The Gem of Light then crash landed in baron planet somewhere in a galaxy where Deviant City is in. Small mystical wisps appeared to investigate both the crash and the gem. When one got close enough, the gem started glowing ominously, then something happened. The gem starts emitting a gravitational pull, pulling it many stones from within it, turning them into Galleem's new body, giving him a Golem-like appearance as clear crystals start to emerge from his new stony body. Later after Galleem was reawakened, he made friends with a single wisp that can color change and is filled with astral and elemental energy. He gave it the name "Wick". Then, from a battle in a Battle Arena, Galleem's Gem of Light created a crystalline sword that Wick can enter so it can use its powers to give it the same abilities as it. And from the planet he's in, he became allies with three alien warriors, who became brave defenders who fought against the dark forces in this planet and soon, the planet containing Deviant City. This is where their quest begins...
