Description

----------

This is my first shot at drawing up some Calaisian buildings The Calais of Carentan* is the most important among the handful of cities which I’ll be uncovering over a lifetime. It’ll be all whimsy and classicalist ornamentation, a hushed and cloistered realm of wonder, serenity and music. It’s a place that will continue to grow for as long as I do, and I hope to ‘download’ a fair amount of it from my brain.

Top Left: Rothschille Vivarium (formerly the Herpetological Institute)

Top Right: Berniel House

Bottom Right: Cara Ueno

Bottom Left: Municipal Archives

Centre: Eretanner Calle, civil sanctuary and blimp gate

(*a very roundabout relation to the French that I probably shouldn’t go into yet..)

Thanks for viewing!

These are amazing...! Love the variety of shapes you used while maintaining a cohesive architectural language. The arch is especially impressive and full of wonder.

Wow thanks so much, really glad it worked out..!! I was hoping to have them look like they could go together in the same setting, while leaving myself room to explore as well as bring in hints from real-world structures. Thanks again for your comment
