It's early spring and the rain seems to be fighting with the sunshine. After a hard winter of quiet and introspection, I finally feel the stirrings of Spring. Tulips always mean that the sun is coming back, that the storms are really going to fade... at least for a little while. And that's real to me.Submission #1 for the "Real" Photography Contest

It's a beautiful shot. I love Tulips. ^_^ All the little details are wondering, like the texture on the petals. You definately get the feeling as a viewer that you could reach out and actually touch this flower through the picture, and that's great, especially for a photo contest where the subject is "Real."
Just as a thought, it might be interesting to do a similar shot where the inside of the flower (where the seed-pods are) is in focus, with the rest a little fuzzy.
