Sorrowtale is about 5 years old now(If I'm not mistaken). It all started back in 2016 when Undertale and Underfell/Underswap was still blowing up and some of the coolest AUs were made during that year as well, but unfortunately, Sorrowtale never really got as much attention as those AUs. It still doesn't even to this day. But, none of that matters tbh bc I'm eternally grateful that my Sorrowtale even gets any attention at all XD So here's a lil comparison of how I drew the Flowey, Frisk, and Toriel back then and how I draw them today in 2019. My art style has definitely changed over the years and I thin I can say that it's more consistent compared to back then.Did my art style change for the better? Was Sorrowtale's transition from traditional art to digital art a good thing? What do you think are major differences between my past style vs my present style? Which style do you prefer? And which character design change that you guys like the most?

Ur old style is fine, but ur new style is just so great, u have improved so much. Also, yes the switch to digital was a great choice, kinda makes me want to see a remake of the older pages and comic/ AU cover in the older style and traditional style to this new digital, much improved and beautiful style, well a person can be hope. Anyways, just found u, SorrowTale looks great, all ur stuff does, thank u the creator of Infinitytale who did such awesome SorrowTale fanart of Chara, Sans, Pap, MK and Undyne (and I think Tori too) it helped me found u, im gonna watch u, and excitedly wait for more SorrowTale pages and ur other stuff (I actually think I faved. the cover for SorrowTale a long time ago, I just forgot I faved it).

5 years? Is my math wrong......
The line art is so much cleaner and there is no need and worry about the photography. The range of expressions has greatly increased and the updates are a lot more frequent. Just from these panels, it looks like there was more background in the past, though I think that it's just in comparison with these particular frames.

Ahhh, yea, recently my digital lineart had improved. I used to suck at that tho. You can check out my earliest digital arts and see. And for the backgrounds, yes I can agree that the traditional comic had slightly more consistent backgrounds. Its harder to do backgrounds in digital bc of layers and such(for me that is) but I'm still practicing and improving.
Here, I demonstrated my current capabilities at digital background drawing. I'll be sure to implement in in future pages of course. and thank you so much for the lovely comment <3

Pretty sure 2016 to 2019 is only 3 years, closer to 3.5 if it started in January and 2.5 if it started around the end of that year instead.
In any case, your understanding of anatomy has greatly improved, and I'm positive that would still be the case had you not switched to a digital medium. Digital can be much cleaner than traditional, but there's a real personal touch that the later can have over the former - at least in my opinion - just by being physical. I like the unique choice in what flower you chose for Asriel to be bound to and the idea of giving the Fallen Humans the bodysuits to go with the strange DT is a nice touch I'd like to see explored more as the story progresses past the Ruins.

ehhh, I'm dumb at math, lol. Aye, moving to digital really did make the comic look significantly cleaner and easier to understand, but still, doing comic traditionally still feels fun and natural.
Flowey being a hibiscus doesn't hold any significance atm, maybe in the future it will. The hibiscus thing maybe in part with more tropical or plants theme I suppose as seen in page 16. Or somewhere around that area.

That's actually really terrible, and a lot of people are in that situation around the world... I'm glad Frisk was able to get some help with that, but I hope we do something about our distribution issues here on the surface...

Yes, yes, your present style is digital, clearer, and a little more anatomically correct, the digital style, and I can't choose because they all look really good, but if I had to, I would probably choose either Toriel or Flowey, whichever gets the minority vote.
