I really love the muted colours and the "burnt' look of the piece. The detail in the chains look very cool and I love the various clothing textures throughout this! Strong pose and nice attention to detail!

Yay, Vash. 'tis an excellent picture you drew of him, the style is very appropriate for the type of picture drawn. The use of varying shades of browns and yellows for the paper give it the feel of an actual old west wanted poster, or maybe that's just me. I also like the way you have Vash carrying Wolfwood's cross gun, very nice.

Just a good old fashioned 0.5 mechanicla pencil. After I had the lines down, I added a bit of shading with a graphite #2 pencil, smudged it with my fingers to blend, then scanned the image into photoshop. There I played with the color levels until I got a nice sepia tone to the whole pic, and then added highlights.

Sweet picture. I like the burnt look, it's very original. A newcomer like you, with skill like this is destined for greatness. I hope to see more of your work in the future. (P.S.-Vash looks cool as hell when he's evil! Good Job on the eyes!)

absolutely goregous, howd you manage that old, burned, sun tanned look to the pic? its wonderful

For this I skipped the ink stage. I draw very rough sketches, and I just deepened the overall lines for the actual image. I then scanned the art, increased the color levels to show the texture of the paper, and then just adjusted curves and color balances in Photoshop to give it the sepia tone. After all that, I selected key areas and adjusted then individually. Then finally, I used the burn tool in Photoshop to create the darker edges I needed.

I appreciate the comment and the criticism. This is actually an older piece where I was experimenting a bit with photoshop. I could do it better now, but I prefer to leave it as is as a reminder of my learning process. Thanks again.

sorry... I had to say this... the detail is awesome and the coloring is just prefect, gives a nice sense of " feeling"...
what I dont like is the frame that you put on that is like blurry, but then, look like a piece of paper too... so its cool
