Description These guys are porygon type pokemon, but made from an older system than porygon. It was very glitchy. Oh, and it uses the Floppy Disc to evolve!

#???
Name: POKE_a.bin (like POKEmon Alpha.BINary)
Type: Normal
Abilities: Download
Class: 8-Bit
Rarity: Super Rare
Height: 3'2"
Weight: .1 lbs.
Pokedex entry: Prior to porygon was POKE_a.bin. It was very glitchy and the project quickly ended.
POKE_a.bin evolves into p0K3_a.vir when traded with the Floppy Disc.

#???
Name: p0K3_a.vir (like glitched POKE Alpha.VIRus)
Type: Normal/Dark
Abilities: Download
Class: Glitched
Rarity: Legendarily Rare (not a legendary)
Height: 3'2"
Weight: .1 lbs.
Pokedex entry: Because the scientists experimenting with POKE_a.bin were using an old system, glitches got out of hand and created this fierce Pokemon.
p0K3_a.vir does not evolve.

Also, forgot to say that Glitched Disc should've been a floppy disk.

Actually, that is a better idea. I'll see what I can do.

Thanks. Look again. I just added the Floppy Disc and slightly updated the evo.

Floppy Disc looks nice, good job mate.

I flipped the right pyramid. It is now facing up. I didn't like that both pyramids faced down.

Your credit will be posted in the description and also given when I credit deviants in my journal. IDK when that will be.

Something i would mostly use.
But pure Dark doesn't seem adequate for a glitched pokΓ©mon.
May i also inform you Porygon-Z counts as another glitched pokΓ©mon.
Also, where did you get your inspiration/base for these pokΓ©mon? That info could help me and others making the name.

justwh22 In reply to JPMD64 [2012-01-13 21:42:03 +0000 UTC]

What do you think seems adequate? I would rather it wasn't a normal type, though. My inspiration? Well, I was just messing around making shapes. Then I was like, "Hmm, what would it look like if I put some of these together." I made the second one today, though. The first was made during my BIM class.

Normal/Dark could work, or maybe Normal/Ghost as if it got "possesed" or "haunted" by getting severely glitched.
Is this dude based on something (i.e. An specific kind of older computer or computer-like eletronic like a Commodore 64 or Windows 95) or not inspired by anything at all?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

justwh22 In reply to JPMD64 [2012-01-13 21:48:12 +0000 UTC]

Not inspired, spontaneous.

JPMD64 In reply to justwh22 [2012-01-13 21:52:14 +0000 UTC]

Meh.
Did you look at what i said up there?
Maybe it's name could have numbers (i.e. 64 as in Commodore 64... Or maybe .exe as a "suffix"?)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

justwh22 In reply to JPMD64 [2012-01-13 22:21:42 +0000 UTC]

I like the .exe suffix a lot more that number, I think. What did you ask me to look up? I was just skimming through my comments that last time.

About name.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

justwh22 In reply to JPMD64 [2012-01-13 22:40:26 +0000 UTC]

((what does .exe even mean)) but what about like Beta or something b/c the project to make it was never finished.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JPMD64 In reply to justwh22 [2012-01-13 22:48:17 +0000 UTC]

(executation, executable, something.)
Alpha, i say.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

justwh22 In reply to JPMD64 [2012-01-13 22:49:53 +0000 UTC]

Well I was thinking like beta testing.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JPMD64 In reply to justwh22 [2012-01-13 22:52:03 +0000 UTC]

But before beta versions, there are alpha versions.
Also, i think alpha versions are way more incomplete than betas, and more prone to glitching, so it makes sense.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

justwh22 In reply to JPMD64 [2012-01-13 22:54:37 +0000 UTC]

Oh, well I didn't know that. Do most people know that? if more people know about beta, use beta. If I have just been missing out, I'll use alphs.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JPMD64 In reply to justwh22 [2012-01-13 23:04:46 +0000 UTC]

As Wikipedia states, i got alpha right: It's the initial stages of software testing, which is prone to glitching and crashing, fitting perfectly for this pokΓ©mon.
Also, i think you could also replace .exe with .bin.
I dunno what's a .bin however, maybe a file made of binary codes?
Also, what? Why use a word more known for a name if there's a better one?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

justwh22 In reply to JPMD64 [2012-01-13 23:08:28 +0000 UTC]

So Alpha.exe or Alpha.bin. Well bin sounds more like a name whilst exe sounds more like a computer program. But I can't decide which angle I want to go for.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

JPMD64 In reply to justwh22 [2012-01-13 23:36:46 +0000 UTC]

Oh yeah, and i forgot what i said previously :3
It was about it's type: Normal/Dark or Normal/Ghost as if it was "possesed" or "haunted" while glitched.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

JPMD64 In reply to justwh22 [2012-01-13 23:28:30 +0000 UTC]

Also, i remembered that in file names, beta is generally abreviated as b, like in ver.1.3b (Version 1.3 Beta), so i assume a works for alpha.
I just searched, and the difference between bin and exe is that bin is a file with binary codes, with information in text form, while .exe is a executable file, a program, or also a resource for other files.
The only name i got is POKE_a.bin or something.

Okay, I really like that name! What about its evo, which I will have as norm/dark.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JPMD64 In reply to justwh22 [2012-01-14 00:20:31 +0000 UTC]

Or Normal/Ghost like i said, either way.
I can't think of a good name other than giving this dude a name almost as fucked up glitched as the pokΓ©mon itself (some random letters and stuff?)
Maybe glitchPkMn.exe or vPOKE_a.exe? Can't fit whole stuff as name.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

justwh22 In reply to JPMD64 [2012-01-14 01:10:56 +0000 UTC]

I will probably mess up the original name adding random symbols or something. Definitely dark b/c I feel like I've used too many ghost type already (I have some saved up for the second half of my 'dex)
