Started coloring this one... urghh, three years ago?The background was too much for me, my grey and dull-toned markers have ran out of ink.
But today I took this and a lot of other unfinished copic-pictures to work with me, and since it was a quiet day I managed to finish four pictures! : D
This one took most of time, but I'm so &%&€%&&/ happy that it's done.

Incredible perspective, the katana feel very near and you take the view to it. . But the coolest of the drawing are the little details like: the knives in the girl's thigh and especially the figurines on the handle of the katana seems keychains.

The clothing styles and the key chain stuff at the end of the katana's hilt kinda remind me of Afro Samurai.

I love the little danglies on the end of the sword. So much character in just that little detail.

I think the character at the end of the katana is the artist himself. :0 I might be wrong but I might be right.
And the lamp-thingy at the curtain near the lady (above the lion-logo) is from his avatar, a neat way to sneak a 'signature' into a picture! ;D

That is really brilliant. And subtle. But that the warrior would even have something like that at the end of her sword says something about her in particular and, possibly, about the culture she's in.
What I mean is, until the recent explosion of cellphone danglies, something that hung off of something was considered a charm or a fetish, like a lucky rabbit's foot. Now, it's not so commonly acknowledged. That means that, just looking at the image, the culture is either advanced similarly to that we find in modern day, or the warrior has a charm of the artist to help her succeed. And both say some things about the character.
I love your coloring, too. It certainly provides life to the scene.
