Description
I fancied a new wallpaper, so played around with LDP-R in DAZ Studio and made this.*** edit *** Thought I'd add a bit more about image composition...
* The LDP-R skydome is "LDP-R Poison5"
* I adjusted the lights to sort of match the toxic dome (rotated sun direction and changed light colours)
* Once in post, duplicated some of the layers to intensify the effect (especially vignette and fog), selectively deleting parts of vignette layers to keep sun looking bright and radiant.
* I then applied the "Miami" PS action and colour adjusted the tint layer to match the original green
* Not based on any of the LDP-R layers, I manually applied a glow to the lights in the scene to enhance mood and thicken the atmosphere even more.
* I then flattened image, used blur brush on areas that I felt were not quite smooth enough (a result of the depth-of-field effect in the camera in the transition areas from sharp to soft), applied a general unsharp mask, and finally added my tag.

Fantastic image. Β I like how you amped the thick atmosphere. Β The glare off the lights really sell it. Β I just started playing with LDP-R and it is definitely a time saver. Β

That is pretty freaking awesome. Love the feel of it. I knew the Out of this WorldΒ sky dome textures would come in handy one day.

Thanks
Yeah, thought I'd try one of the fantasy dome textures - this particular one is LDP-R Poison5

Works so well too, you did a good job of blending the layers. I can't wait to get this myself.

Worth the money i reckon at the intro price - everything can be done manually in post, but LDP-R is a genuine time saver.Β This took a couple of hours from setting up scene to saving final image, but without LDP-R this would have maybe taken me 6-8 hours.

Indeed. I do a lot of this type of rendering manualy or via Relight so I have a good idea in what it is doing and how so for me it isΒ a no brainer. I have been doing a lot of postwork lately. Just need the cash now so I will have to wait.

I just adore that lighting.Β You put a soft, romantic bloom over everything and oh wait that's a tank.Β Hee hee.
The individual lights look really great, too.Β Is that one of the LDP-R post effects?

Cheers... yeah, tanks need love too, LOL
The individual lights are not part of the LDP-R effects, those I did manually myself.Β I've added a wee breakdown of my process to the original image description.
