Description
It was a dark cloudy morning in the woods of Middle-Earth as sunlight barely shone through and upon the land. A young 14-year-old human named Lloyd was walking down an old dirt trail carrying a bag. The boy was treading through the forest minding his business as he tries to find a place to stay for the night, knowing that it will be raining soon. Lloyd soon decided to take a little break and sat down underneath a nearby tree settling his bag beside him. He had been in the wilderness for a long time, he had little memory of his past, all he could remember was that he woke up in an empty forest with nowhere to go. He had been learning to survive in the wild and was trying to find a way out of these woods before the storm comes. As Lloyd was resting he soon heard the sound of thunder and can see flashes of lightning in the dark clouds he knew that there wasn't much time left before it would start pouring rain. He gets up from the tree and continues on his way to find shelter. Lloyd soon exits the forest and is now on an open path, as he continues walking down the path he soon notices something in the distance. There was a large entrance that leads to a large mountain, Lloyd knows that place in the distance was The Lonely Mountain, the kingdom of the dwarfs, and from what he can tell from its condition it must be abandoned for a while, battle-damaged at least. As he stood there he suddenly felt something wet land on top of his head. Lloyd looks up to see that it has started pouring rain upon Middle-Earth. Knowing with no other choice he begins to run towards the abandoned kingdom and will stay there until the storm lifts. After reaching the old and sacred place Lloyd sits next to a destroyed pillar inside the ruins to get some rest and have the time to dry off. He looks around to see that there is nobody here in this ruin and assumed this place might be empty. Overcome with curiosity, Lloyd ventures farther into the old kingdom, now seeming to be more like a nicely decorated cave rather than a fallen kingdom. After entering this seemingly large place, he finds a room that opens into a much larger area of the palace, and what he saw was just what he expected with most kingdoms including this one: a treasure room, and a massive one too.
Piles and piles of gold, jewels, and many more rare pieces of treasure including ores, relics, heirlooms, artifacts, and even weapons. Lloyd slowly approached the stacks of gold, rubies, and diamonds mixed in with topaz, emeralds, and sapphires as he looks around the entire treasure room seeing the mountains of gold coins and jewels all over the room. Lloyd soon comes across a gold relic in one of the treasure piles and he picks it up and inspects it. The relic was shiny and in perfect condition, 'Heh, something like this can be worth a lot on sale for the right price. But... I honestly really don't want this relic. I'm not interested in any of this treasure here, all of this should stay in their respective place here. Especially, all the treasure here may be afflicted with the Dragon Sickness curse and I like the way I am now.' Lloyd thought to himself. He puts the relic back where it belongs in the pile before continuing on his way, 'Besides, I won't be here long.'
However, what Lloyd never realized from the beginning was the fact that he wasn't alone. Something lies underneath all the treasure under the mountain, something that would change his life forever.
When Lloyd was about to leave the treasure room he suddenly heard the sounds of gold moving behind him which startled him a little bit but he assumed that it was the wind from the storm that made its way into the room. But when he turns back around to his horror he saw something move underneath the pile of treasure he realizes that he is not alone and that there is something buried in all this gold in this room that is starting to slowly move, he needs to get out fast. But then a growl echoed across the treasure room as something here was going to wake up. And just as Lloyd had thought more the gold starts to move and reveals what looks like to be red scales realizing that a dragon has inhabited this place. The teenager tries to find a place to hide as the red scales opened up a glowing golden eye with a slit pupil in the middle. Lloyd ducks into a dark space behind some fallen stone and peeks around to see what was happening. The creature began to stand up as all of the gold covering it slides off and finally showed its true appearance which turns out that it was no ordinary dragon. It was none other than the fire drake from the north of Middle-Earth, Smaug. Lloyd never realizes that Smaug has been here the whole time and had forgotten that this dragon was the reason why the place was abandoned for decades. He turns back to his hiding spot and sticks to the shadow when the drake was looking around the room sniffing the air, then spoke in a deep masculine voice mixed with growls that sends chills down Lloyd's spine, "Well..... It seems that I have a visitor in my domain." Lloyd remains quiet as the dragon moves around searching the room, "I know you are in here, I can smell you" the dragon spoke again. Soon Smaug moves to another part of the room and was now standing near Lloyd's hiding spot, "Come now, you know I hate having an unwelcomed guest so step out and show yourself." No response. The teenager just sits there without moving a muscle and making no sound, but that was a mistake. Smaug was starting to grow impatient as he was tired of this kind of silence but then he notices something below him, he could make out Lloyd's shadowy figure crouched down behind the broken stone and the scent simply gave it away. Smirked, now that he had found his trespasser the dragon steps back with a pretending, "Or perhaps it was nothing." Smaug moves away from the hiding space, hides behind some pillars, and waits. When Lloyd hears the dragon leaving the area there was silence and so he assumed that he lost the beast.
So he took this chance to quickly look around to find an exit and spots an open door a the end of the room it was a little bit far from where he is but he would rather take his chances than be caught. When Smaug notices that the human had stepped into the light and was looking at the open door he figured that it would try to escape, unfortunately, that's not gonna happen. Lloyd looks around one last time to see the coast is clear and then makes a break for the door. But Smaug was quicker so he rushed over toward the human and stops right in front of the door blocking the way. Lloyd gasps and stops in place seeing that he has been caught and was now face-to-face with the dragon himself. "Going somewhere?" Smaug said mockingly. Lloyd starts to slowly back away in fear as he tries to find another way out. "So tell me... Why are you here, are you a thief, an assassin?" "Neither, I wasn't here to do anything, I was just trying to get out of the storm outside, that's all! If you want me to leave then I'll-" But when Lloyd tries to turn and leave the dragon's tail was found blocking the other way, "That won't be necessary, you know it is rude to walk into someone's home without permission, especially if it's home to a dragon? Something like that cannot go, unpunished..." Smaug said with a hungry look. Lloyd was about to break for it but Smaug's tail immediately wraps around his legs causing him to fall over. He was lifted as he was dangling upside down and bought above the dragon's head as they made direct eye contact. "You have brought this on yourself little one, and now it's time we end this... Farewell human" Smaug said, opening his mouth wide and revealing his fleshy insides. Lloyd struggle in the tail's grip as he was lowered towards the dragon's maw and when he closed his eyes as he got close he heard the jaws snap loud and shut. However, the boy felt no pain, and strangely he can still feel his legs pressed together and wrapped. Opening his eyes, Lloyd sees that his head was about an inch from Smaug's teeth and you see that his tail still has a firm grip on your legs.
Lloyd hears a chuckling sound and sees that the dragon was the one doing the chuckling as if something is funny, "Wha... What's so funny?" he asked. "Did you really think you fell for that?" Smaug answered. "Wait, What?" Lloyd said confused and taken aback by what is happening. Smaug raises a single open claw up and places the human in his palm uncoiling his tail from the legs. "Your... letting me live? But I thought-" "But you thought I was merciless and cruel when I took this mountain and hoard all this treasure and would kill anyone who dares to intrude? That may be true, but as time went on a slight part of me of being that type of dragon has strangely left me. This is still my domain but for some reason, I would rarely feel different" Smaug said. Lloyd couldn't believe what he had heard but he was relieved that he was spared but he had one question, "So what will you do with me?" "You came in here because of the storm, did you not? I'll let you stay until the storm passes but under two conditions." Smaug said strictly. This has gotten the boy a little bit worried but was obliged to hear them. "The first condition is you can leave once the rain stops but don't even think about taking a single piece of my treasure here as you go and you are not to tell anyone about our encounter, are we clear?" Lloyd nodded agreeing to the terms, "And... the second condition?" the boy asks. The dragon leans in a bit with a slight grin, "For until the storm clears, you will be my snack" Smaug said licking his lips. Lloyd shook in fear when he heard that, "W-what?! But we had a deal, you said that you wouldn't kill me!" "I did. I said I was going to let you go until the storm clears, but then I realized hadn't eaten yet for some time so I need something to satisfy my hunger for a while. As you said, we had a deal, right?"
Lloyd was dumbfounded. He never thought that he would have to spend the night inside a dragon. After much hesitation, he reluctantly complied, "Fine." Smaug smiles as he brings Lloyd closer to him and gives him a massive lick and says, "Then we have a deal, time for me to have supper." The dragon raises the human over his head and opened his mouth again but this time he lowers Lloyd inside and places him on his tongue before closing his mouth shut. Smaug begins to lick and slurp around the young human savoring the taste he was taking in. The dragon became amused as he hadn't tasted anything like this for a long time and can now finally treasure it. Soon after much licking the dragon swallows, Smaug looks down to see the small bulge go down his throat and pass his ribcage. Once he felt the human land in his second stomach the dragon moves back on top of the piles of treasure and rests down he looks at his belly and places a claw on it, "Get some rest human you will be in there for a while." Lloyd hears Smaug falling back to sleep outside and after hearing his words he gets comfortable and closes his eyes.
Awhile Later...
Smaug was the first to wake up he lets out a big yawn smacking his lips. He then remembers the young human in his stomach before he carefully listens outside, he could not hear any rain now which means the storm has finally passed and it was time time to let his snack go. Lloyd was awakened from the hacking and coughing outside as the fleshy walls started to compress and push him upwards. Smaug feels him going up his esophagus and into his mouth leans down and lets the boy slide out onto the treasure. "Rise and shine, little one" Smaug greeted. Lloyd listens outside and hears that the rain has stopped which means he can go now. "The rain has stopped now, you can leave but remember our agreement" Smaug said. The human nodded and as he was about to leave he stops for a moment and the dragon seems to notice, "Is there something wrong?" "I just realize, I don't know where to go" Lloyd said. "What do you mean by that, don't you have a home?" the dragon asks. Lloyd nodded sadly saying that he does remember much about where he is from. When Smaug heard this, he felt this strange feeling that he had never felt before. Something urging him that he should do something about it, it was so strong he couldn't resist. When it soon got to him he finally spoke, "Little one, this might come out of nowhere... and I can't believe I'm saying this but. Would you like me to... take you under my wing?" Lloyd's eyes widen with shock and surprise, never in his life would he be given such an offer, "Why the changed?" "I do not know, I guess maybe it's because I would like to have some company. Besides, it is lonely in here anyway" Smaug said. Lloyd thought about this offer and with a smile he runs up and hugs the dragon's chest saying thank you for the invitation. Taken back by this Smaug couldn't help but smile too and wrapped a claw around the human pressing him against his chest with a your welcome reply and let's go, "By the way, I never asked your name little one" the dragon said. "It's Lloyd, and can I ask you something?" “What is it?” Smaug asked. “Can I go back inside your belly? I know it’s embarrassing but…” Smaug was surprised by this favor but he complied anyway, “Very well, I was planning on getting some breakfast but you can do just fine for now.” The dragon opens his mouth and lowers it over Lloyd, he then gently clamps down on his waist and lifted the human up in the air, and then jerks his head backward pulling the rest of Lloyd in his maw. Smaug gives the boy and friendly lick before tilting his head back and taking a big gulp then observes the bulge down his body and felt Lloyd land in his second stomach. “Enjoy your stay in there, my friend, 'cause you may consider yourself as a part of my hoard.”
