Transformers Movie Barricade!

The Make

Barricade’s body is from Stikfas Mechana Segmented Robot. The wheels are from a 99p truck toy. I cut and glued bits of spare Stikfas joints to attach the shoulder wheels as I wanted them to be adjustable. The chest head lights are spares from the Stikfas Motorcycle and the rest of the added pieces are made of card.
I use GamesWorkShop paints. I’ve always used there paints, there paints are the Best you can get and they are perfect for the job. For the face and smaller details I used a permanent black fine-liner pen but be warned, some pens just don’t stick as well as other’s and before you know it you’ve smudged the lot and you have to start all over again.
Normally I try and get my Stikfas to look as close to the subject as I can. But with this one I knew I couldn’t so I tried to make him look more Stikfa’ish. The only place I felt it worked is on the chest, it’s nice and simple, not as busy and complicated as the rest of the body?
