Description MAD MAX: Fury Road inspired Austin Mini!!!

I loved Mad Max: Fury Road! Luckily I don't drive or I would have probably driven my Car off a bridge
But I do make miniatures so I figured we need a British Mad Max Universe'y Vehicle. I went straight to the idea of using one of 007 James Bond's classic cars but they just don't seem quirky enough, then I remembered another amazing Car movie; The Italian Job! Using a classic Mini made perfect sense. I needed tank parts as I really liked the idea of having tank tread and the Hanomag Sdkfz251/1 was the only kit in the shop that was a similar scale. I didn't really have a plan in mind, just started hacking the kits up and seeing what would fit. This is the finished result. I could have kept adding bits to it but I really wanted it to be functional, I didn't want to over-complicate it. If I was stuck in the Mad Max world this is what I would want to Drive.

The Make
Top Left I've been reading the Mad Max: Fury Road prelude comics and some of the images have vehicles with Road Signs attached to provide extra armour. I loved the idea so I put some on my desert mini. There is also a Heavy Machine Gun hidden under the car bonnet which connects to the passenger seat so they car shoot at fleeing vehicles. Anyone recognise the Mini's colour scheme? Its based on another iconic British car, this time it's TV's Mr Bean! youtu.be/SHvYDPWOVYY
Bottom Left I added the Red door and lots of battle damage as it would have taken a beating over the years. Also added the spade for those tricky sand traps. I put some metal grates onto the rear windows for added protection.
Top Right Idea was that the tread does all the work (hence why the engine is in the rear seat area) and two huge wheels at that front steer this tiny beast. I would love to think of them using this design in a future Mad Max movie but I'm pretty sure this thing would shake to pieces or explode if made in real life.
Bottom Right I noticed that there wasn't a splash guard for the two front wheels which I kinda like so I just painted massive mud/dirt splashes up the sides of the passenger doors. But I felt I had to put a splashguard for the treads as it would kick-up way more debris.
