Description Pretty simple Mega Man picture... nothing spectacular, but I got bored and decided to render them using Illustrator... its kind of fun to make pixel art using vector shapes.

Created using Adobe Illustrator & small Photoshop tweaks.

Well, if you consider pixel art using tiny squares to make images, then yes... its pixel art. I'll post an image of the two characters with outlines if you'd like... they're made out of 9px by 9px vector boxes (or 18x9, or 27x9, etc...).

There ya go.

Ceramic mosaics are made of tiny squares, yet they are not considered pixel art. just because you're using tinny square shapes doesn't mean its pixel art, yet just a simple mosaic. pixel art works at pixel level. this means that every pixel in your image has to be used carefully and wisely, both color and placement. in order to achieve the desired effect, without the intervention of any automated tool, such as the antialiasing you vectors have.

besides, yours is just a vector trace of the original sprite. I don't see why it shouldn't be in the vector section.

For some reason, I didn't even see the vector category when submitting this one... *shrugs*
