Description
This piece was done for 's Knuckles challenge where we had to redraw a VERY early concept of Knuckles and make him look as cool as possible (a hard task, I know)[link] ......Yeah I'm glad they changed it too...
Anyway I guess modern Knux thought he was pairing up with 1994 knuckles. He was wrong....
EDIT Got the background to be transparent (forgot to save as .png, duh)

This looks awesome! Looking at this, it makes me wonder if Knux was originally going to be a hedgehog like Sonic. And honestly, I never thought proto Knuckles could look this good!

To be fair, 1994 Knuckles doesn't look THAT different from the Knuckles being used today. Only Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Dr. Robotnik have really changed since their first video game debut.
