By itself, Volink is relatively weak, so they use their tails to connect to each other, increasing their electrical charge. When linked, they can transfer electrical brain impulses, enabling them to act as a single entity.

Rattach can be fiercely territorial, delivering a painful electrical bite. Enormous chains of Volink can be found connected to their tails, using Rattach as a main power source. Sometimes multiple Rattach can be found entangled in each other's tails by accident.
