Nothing else is a lot more exciting than to see my precious waifu, my beloved assassin, my strongest oni.

I long for her banner...

At first, I wanted simple shading, and the classic lighting to be done in this, cel-shading basically, but it didn't hit me more than this final output, it wasn't really natural for me anymore.

The initial pose idea started from her offering us a bowl of sake; a foreshortened pose, with her hand reaching out to the audience, a suggestive pose and gesture, but unfortunately did not bode well.

I took on various other poses for this, until I came to the idea of Shuten sitting in that pose, with a pot, in a dojo room, and then a certain oni peeking in and seeing her beloved brethren and idol.

The lighting afterwards is what I really was struggling with, but thanks to various people who gave feedback (Peeps at Hyun's dojo discord), the main source of light is behind through the doors and then one other small source but not strong enough to be the main focal point is the candle beside the pot.

I'm very satisfied with the result, I might as well take on a badass Ibaraki Douji piece as well!~

I'm very satisfied with the result, I might as well take on a badass Ibaraki Douji piece as well!~
