Description
I've been needing to make bios and such for a lot of my characters as of late. I decided to get Asani's done now because BunnyWithAPomp , Phioai , and I have come up with quiet a bit for him!

If anyone else is interested in being a friend, family/role model, enemy, love interest etc. Please feel free to leave a comment or a note and we can figure out the relationship and how it works for both our characters!

Name: Asani

Nickname: (none yet)

Gender: Male

Species: Elkian

Age: 21

Sexuality: Bisexual

Relationship Status: Single

Height: 6’ 2” (including antlers)
5' 6" (without antlers)

Weight: 158 lbs

Allergies: Allergic to most nuts

Personality: Asani is a rather arrogant guy, often talking down to others because he believes he knows more and is capable of doing a better job than others. Asani has an ego to him from learning to take care of himself and his dad, Wilhelm, at a fairly young age. He also takes time to groom himself, making sure he looks good and feels good every day. He is a bit vain, but not so much that he worries about ruining his hair or sweating from doing a little hard work. He simply likes to look his best and show that he is in control and can maintain his apperance. Asani can come off as rather harsh when talking with others, often getting right to the point and pointing out what he sees as flaws that can be worked on. He usually means well and only wants to help, but his help is often unwanted thanks to his poor approach to others and the attitude he has. Asani is very confident in whatever he does and though there are things he knows he can do better in, he still tries his best to be of use. He sometimes can feel like he isn’t the man he should be when he compares himself to his dad; this strong and well liked guy who cares for and helps out everyone he can. Asani knows he’s nothing like him and sometimes feels like he might be a disappointment because of how bad he is, but he tries not to linger in that mindset for long, otherwise he’d start to see himself as a failure and thus would be a failure. He'd rather keep on trying each day to make himself that little bit better and make his dad proud. Asani would give anything to make Wilhelm proud!

Likes: Cooking, baking, decorating homes, crafting and creating items for others to help them look and feel better about themselves, helping out his dad in any way he can, helping others out (even though he’s likely to get in an argument about how to get things done), gardening.

Dislikes: People his own age or younger, he finds them mostly immature (though he’s not really all that mature himself!), heavy lifting, neck pains (he gets them from time to time due to his larger antlers), burnt food, anything too sweet, When his dad overworks himself, being unable to accomplish a given task, being deemed as uncaring or a bad person, seeing anyone pick on his childhood friend, Annis.

Fears/phobias: Losing his dad, losing his friend(s), being alone, not being enough, failure.

Favourite flower: Roses

BACKSTORY

Asani was abandoned in the woods and found by Wilhelm as an infant. With his real parents nowhere to be found, Wil ended up adopting and raising Asani as his own. Asani was a good kid, he didn’t really start getting into trouble until he got a bit older, when he began to get into arguments over little things, such as who was in the right or who could do better at something. Asani was never really punished for getting into these fights and thus he never fully learned how to deal with these situations in a better way. Asani could hardly make any friends with his attitude and the few friends he had he eventually lost because of what he would say or do. The only friend he ever kept was Annis, someone who also had a strong personality, but yet they were able to get along despite everything. It wasn’t always easy with her, they did get into their little arguments or disputes, but they’d always agree to disagree and move on. The only time things looked bad was when they hit their teen years and they had a bit of a falling out due to the lifestyle differences Annis and Asani were going through. Wil eventually had them sit down to talk things over and that was the first time Asani really opened up to someone else and also listened to what they going through as well. Their bond ended up becoming so much stronger after that, they practically became inseparable friends. No matter what happened or what they did, they’d always be there for each other and they’d always be around to smack some sense into the other when needed.

During Asani’s youth, he’d sometimes need to be watched over by others while Wil worked. It was during these moments that Asani would learn about things like cooking or sewing, little things to help him hold his own and be more independent. He started to cook for his dad after some time of practicing different recipes, making sure Wil had a good breakfast and often stopping by his workplace to bring him lunch and make sure he would take a break to eat. If he didn’t do this, he knew all too well that his dad would just keep working to the point of exhaustion and that honestly worried Asani at times. His dad is a good man, maybe too good as Wil often would offer to work for free or neglect to ask for proper payment for his service as he just liked to help out others and felt bad asking for payment. Asani had to pick up the slack and help sell Wilhelm's work, as well as some of his own items to make sure they had money to spare for daily needs. Asani looks up to his dad and feels as if he needs to do more to live up to his legacy. Wil is a well loved man, who is strong, caring, and does everything he possibly can for others. Asani is nothing like him. Sometimes when delivering food to Wilhelm at his workplace, Asani would overhear the other Elkian discussing “a real mans work.” Although the comments were not directed at him, Asani would still take notice to what they were saying and how belittling it felt to hear that the stuff he was good at was not “a real mans job.” Asani was proud that he could cook and sew and gardening helped him to unwind after a long day, but was he not living up to his full potential? Should he be doing more “man” stuff? It is the things that he doesn’t do that he is ashamed of and it is because of this that Asani is still very immature and lost. He doesn’t know who he is or what he wants to be yet and that is something he quietly struggles with as he continues to push himself to do more and be a better person.
