Thank you! This is one of those slightly over tone mapped shots of mine. I think it worked out ok though in this instance because there arent any halos or anything but it was one of my first HDR images really.

yup, but it's only the trial so I have to remove the water marks each time does the trial limit any functions or anything do you know?

I dont know...
I use the trial as well. Those water marks are a pain really. I think that it is fully functional, just with those water mark things.

oh ok. The good thing about it is that the trial never runs out, just removing the water marks each time is annoying. I use the patch tool in photoshop

Haha...me too. It works most of the time, but there are times where the water mark just cant be taken out without anyone noticing.

yea I know what you mean, and theres that crappy light smudge mark which is out of tone from everything else

If you do it right, you can avoid that most of the time. Try removing a single letter at a time and finding similarly textured and colored areas in the image to drag the patch.

yea thats mostly what I do, unless its a really busy area where you can just move the entire word. I'm not sure how expensive the full programme is but if the only downfall the trial gives is the water mark then there isn't much point getting it haha.

That's so cool! I grew up on a farm in Mississippi, and it looks kind of like a barn we had. And, I didn't realize that you lived in VA, that's only 6 hours from me!

I don't know where it is, but I go into VA all the time. Have you ever been to Harper's Ferry, VA? It's about 4 hours from you, and it is absolutely beautiful. You can go up on Jeffersons Rock at night and lay back and see every star in the sky. And the town has a hiking store that was built around a natural spring, and it runs through the middle of the store. It's an awesome place. If you haven't been there, you should deffinately check it out.

I adore this picture. Incredible composition. I grew up around farms on a part time basis (mainly during summer/christmas breaks while visiting family) and this picture brings me back to those days.

Thank you! I grew up in the country, and though I never had a barn, this reminded me of that same country life. Im glad you liked it

I'm really loving your latest work. All of your countryside photos have a similar dark and brooding feel (some scary, some not), but the images are all so different.
I love the perspective of this shot where you can see the landscape moving off into the distance through the openings of the building. This image has a peaceful, rustic, and forgotten feel to it.
The details are amazing. I find the different directions of the paint stripes curious, especially in contrast to the vertical "stripes" of the wooden boards. I wonder what would've made the width and direction of the stripes of paint so consistently the same on a single board, but of different widths and directions on different boards. This is just an interesting image...

Hearing that makes me so happy This is the start of hopefully a new style I can call my own. There are some elements that are not here that I wish to incorporate, but it is good to see that people like what is developing thus far.

I can definitely see your point of view even if you're still refining your style. I'm really looking forward to seeing how your work will evolve.

Thank you! Im quickly becoming a fan of tone mapping for sure. Im out of models at the moment but I would like to incorporate people into shots like these. For now, the time alone remains my therapy
