What grade pencils did you use for preliminary sketches? I'm asking as I want to know which will give me the best effect for the Light Crusader fan art I'm going to do.

I use standard HB mechanical pencils for sketching and lining.

Sweet. Your leading ladies look as good as ever. In fact, I like how you've compared the differences in their characters just by the shape of their faces. Cynthia is all round and innocent-looking while Crystal is far more chiseled and hardened.
Plus, a quarter-turn is hard to draw. Crystal's pose looks great.

Definitely deserves to be a header pic! The leading ladies look lovely - only trouble is, I can't shake the feeling that that should be a little more indication of where Crystal's right arm is, in spite of her pose.

its going down her side and thus out of view, I sketched it in places and it always looked odd so I left it hidden. It just looked better that way.
