I just love all the little touches, like the key chain and the clouds on the inside of her umbrella, specially the umbrella the freedom of the birds flying there really contrasts the general somber mood of the piece. Really just very beautiful.

I really like the colours and the light. how gently you have captured the rain. The shadow over her face, with this sad expression and redness of skin on a nose as if she cried, hiding tears in the rain.

There's something alluring about being in the rain. It's somewhat melancholy but I like feeling this pic gives off. I think a lot of people have had a moment in their lives where they can identify with this. =]

I love the expression of rain in drawings. Its usually dark or sad...buts it just stirs emotion. Very nice job.

Beautiful artwork, very amazing, soo good. In the art I can see how much the girl wants it to stop raining, she a has a cute umbrella that has birds flying in blue skies and hanging from her bag is one of those hand-made Japanese dolls called "Teru teru bozu" that helps bring good weather.And there's the name of the picture that gives a message/or idea of what the girl maybe feel right now and that can also be shown in her facial expression very much as well.Lovely artwork. I like how there this theme ( of rain go away, I want good weather) going on with the picture, that one can point out~it makes you look at it more/longer (for me it does).This is what I thought when look see this picture.Again Wonderful artwork.

Thanks! I'm glad you noticed the teru teru bozu. ;D For this one I worked particularly hard at putting more thought into the details (it's one of the things I really have to work on). I'm happy it shows and that you were able to get something from it!

Yes I did learn it myself. =] Digital painting is actually pretty intuitive - if it's just the technicalities, I'm sure anyone could pick it up with a bit of effort!

An art block? oh dear I can understand you perfectly! You know, next time you struggle with an art block just go out. Take your mp3 player/a book/whatever with you and relax somewhere. It helps

And yes, the umbrella is supposed to have blue sky + clouds painted on the underside (kind of like how it's always sunny under the umbrella even though it's rainy). However, I wasn't able to pull off convincingly. =[

It is a mystery why this picture so attracts the eyes - something just pulls towards young woman. The expression, her composure, even umbrella - it's hardly describable charm... It just makes you feel to come up to her and ask :Hey, what's wrong, could I help you with something?" Kind of leaves a little ache in the chest...
