Hozier - Arsonist's Lullabye

When I was a child, I heard voices...
Some would sing and some would scream
You soon find you have few choices...
I learned the voices died with me

When I was a child, I'd sit for hours
Staring into open flame
Something in it had a power,
Could barely tear my eyes away

All you have is your fire...
And the place you need to reach -
Don't you ever tame your demons
But always keep 'em on a leash

These were times of unrest, again. The colder days came. The expedition led by the Omen had taken quite a while to return, and the predictions weren't optimistic. Several of the Hinterkin left or gone missing. Everything was changing.
Again.
He did too.
And he could not linger without a purpose much longer - he was Ashkin no more. The fire in his veins needed an outlet, and he could no longer cling to the remnants of peaceful childhood that never was.
At the turn of the moon, Jorann and his brother, overwatched by their guardian and the Spires, were initiated to Embers, rising into adulthood.
He felt it was a start of great many things.
Let the fire set.
