Description
The name's Reduar.The product of my imagination.
The rethinking of my character design, "Reduar" fav.me/d4nzns9
My first pen-tablet drawing.
It took a lot of hours to make it, because everything was new for me in this media.
I used:
- Wacom Bamboo Fun Pen&Touch Medium pen tablet.
- Adobe Photoshop CS6.

It looks amazing! My only issue is there is so much open space to his left, it's like a huge void. If he were slightly more centered or if the void were cut down a little I think it would add to the piece a bit more. I love the design of your character though, truly amazing.

Well, yes. I started to like this composition recently. (the figure is on the left/right, especially on the left.) I dont know why, i like how it "feels". But yes, it makes a lot of empty space.

Overall I just think this is amazing. The anatomy is good and the details and the texture are brilliant. The composition looks fine too

Ooh nice. It looks a bit strange with a background at the moment but that's probably because I know it wasn't originally done with one. How come you chose to make the background all blurry?

Well, the city is blurry, yes.
I don't know why, i planned like this when is started to make it. It is far, and it's not the center of the image, its "just" the scenery, to compelte the image.

This is amazing for a first attempt on tablet drawing.
The shading is great. The feet look really good!,but there are some metallic parts that need more light.
There is a lot of space there though, maybe adding a very simple background would've help.
So overall it looks really good!

Thank you. I had to spend a lot of time on it, to make it on the details. It was made layer by layer, one by one, in hte finale, i merged all layers, and made the.... "smoothing".

Im entirely new to photoshop, so I dont know how to work with layers or any of that... My techniques I picked up from videos on youtube...

I've read about the options of the brushes, etc on the net. And i used Photoshop before, but only for: for example: deleting the background of a photo, things like this, but not artistic works.

Yes, the armor on the other one is more like a sci-fi/fantasy armor. And this is more like a sci-fi/military one. But i kept some attributes. (like the chest guard's red polygon)

the helmet shoulder pads and the sword

The sword inspired by traditional japanese katana. Yes, Kai leng has a sword in ME3.

Yeah, the shoulder guards, perhaps becasue the red color.
