"I think... We lost him... Ma'am." Janelau 'Frost' Maggfrost panted as they stopped in a corridor. Rima Aki eyed the entrance they came from and saw the stone doors close. She turned to observe the corridor and noticed two rooms, one was on the right and open while the other was on the far side of the corridor and closed. She looked at the room on the right and saw the destroyed Xeno eggs. She motioned for Frost to follow and went to the closed door. She looked to her left and saw a button that had the Hunter's Bio-mask engraved on it. She pushed the button and the stone door lifted. The two Marines stepped inside and saw a room with six beds surrounding a hatched Xeno egg. She saw Raider 2-1 sitting on the floor next to a bed, his chest open and bloody. She grabbed the weapon on his hand and inspected it. It was the EE-3S or 'Schaefer'. The scope is removed, the stock is different and collapsible, a grenade launcher acts as it's underbarrel. She looked at her regular EE-3 and turned to Frost "Frost, heads up." She threw the regular EE-3 to Frost, who caught it clumsily "It's better to have something a other than a blaster pistol." She turned back to Raider 2-1 and took off his flashlight headset. She put it on and saw it still worked. She heard a hiss and put her guard up. Frost did the same and let their eyes search the room for the bug. Rima knows there should be more than one, they're a nearly unstoppable force when in a pack. She saw no holes on the ground, walls and ceiling. No ventilations, too. She was so deep in her thoughts that she barely had time to react when the Bug lunged at her. It managed to swipe at her armor and nearly impaled her with it's bladed tail. She got a good look at the Bug and saw the tusks on either side of it's jaw. The skin was still black as night, but it's skull can be seen through it's dome of a head. Frost shot at it but the Bug was too fast. Rima took shots at it as well but the Bug still manages to avoid the blaster bolts. It hides behind the beds and pillars until it reached the entrance. It ran out of the room and found a small hole that led to a series of tunnels. The Marines tried to kill it before it escaped but it was too late. The Bug lunged for the hole and scurried off somewhere in the temple. Rima let out a growl "Damn it! It got away." She turned to Frost "Come on, we got a bug to hunt down." She ran through the entrance and into the maze of corridors, followed by Frost, and set out find the Bug. The both of them forgot about the Hunter, but lucky for them, He's a bit busy exterminating the other Bugs in the temple.
