Great stamp! I got so sick of scrolling through the "I hate math" and "math sucks" stamps. It's fine to not like it, but do those people seriously not understand that their computers -- any technology, in fact -- wouldn't have a prayer of working if it weren't for math?

ugh...there's actually people who like that subject? I'm confused, as if my head's going to blow up. What about geography or books or even video games!? You know what, I'll never understand you math-types, if only I liked it and understood it as much as you guys. But then, who the heck needs to use variables in writing? I want to be a writer. I hate math, period. (see?>>> .) Try and solve this if you like it so much: [(3x^2-27)divided by 4)] times[ 8x^2) divided by(9-3x)]divided by [(x^2+3x) divided by 6]
Eat that.

Although that's an expression, I can simplify it for you That's just a stupidly long way to say -12x.
Step 1: Write it out. Multiply by reciprocals to take out division in the third term.
[(3x^2-27)/4]*[(8x^2)/(-3x+9)]*[6/(x^2+3x)]
Step 2: Multiply everything out (I took out direct cancellations: multiplying gives +36x^2 - 36x^2 on the bottom).
(144x^4 - 1296x^2)/(-12x^3 + 108x).
Step 3: Pull out twelves (all of these numbers are divisible by twelve)
[(12)(12x^4-108x^2)]/[(12)(-x^3+9x)
Step 4: Cancel twelves. Pull out x from each:
[(x)(12x^3 - 108x)]/[(x)(-x^2+9)]
Step 5: Cancel x. Dividing here (through long division or through noting that -x^2 + 9 equals 12x^3 - 108 if multiplied by -12x) gives -12x.
I'm a video-game lover, but in my limited experience with programming it's really mathematical, even more so if it includes 3D models or vector art - vectors involve a lot of parametric curves, 3D models involve math I've not done yet. I've also just finished my first novel. :3 Math is frequently incredibly creative; I think I spend more time being ingenious and tricky when doing mathematics than when writing. Geography is based on a coordinate system, and when you get into geology, then you start having a lot of math involved again.
I realize this is an old post, but that was a really fun problem to solve.

it's an expression and not an equation. there's nothing to solve. We love math, period. EAT THAT.

Math rocks. I used to hate math but my awesome tutor in middle and high school made a huge difference to me; she really raised my confidence and I got to love math. It's awesome. (A/D)C=AC/DC <=> C

Our opinions differ there then.
I'm glad your mastering the art of stamp making.
Just make the text a little bit brighter next time.
