youΒ΄ll need both: cinema 4d will do the 3d part, to model and render the abstract object
and photoshop to do the postwork job, add the effects and to fix the colors!

I have problems getting things to be effected like yours. I'm not sure if its the way I'm layering things. Do you know of a good c4d manual? There are lil things in c4d that I'm not familiar with/.thanks

I guess its just finding out where things where, I noticed that bevel is not a deformer? and was in another menu. then I was wondering how those things made the effect you first did, then realized that it was due to anything but you making the polygon editable and then manipulating it by hand. I've learned alot in the the past couple days and have gotten much more familiar with the interface. So now I'm onto trying to figure out how to get the textures to work properly.
