Here's my first attempt at editing. I used Gimp. FREEWARE FTW!

The original screenshot was of Rainbow Dash as Commander Hurricane, one of the founders of Equestria according to the play in the episode "Hearth's Warming Eve" (think Christmas, but with ponies).

Now, I'm of the opinian that Hurricane was in fact a stallion, but due to societal and cultural conventions he is remembered as a mare. He isn't the only one with changes in Modern Equestria. In my headcanon, Chancellor Puddinghead was even MORE insane than advertised, and Princess Platinum was much less selfish (but her court, however, was, and so she had to bow to their whims in order to prevent civil war).

Now then, this may just be me, but given the obvious Military Dictatorship the Pre-Equestria Pegasi lived under, their Ruler had to've been the meanest, badass Mo-Fo around. And as the Pegasi were obviously riffing off of Ancient Greece, that brings to mind Sparta.

So you can imagine where my mind went.
