A Necron Immortal would be awesome, cos those big shoulder plates would make the arms look skinny. Making the helmet or mask as tight as possible does also wonders, we did the same with the space marines, your head has to look as small as possible that makes you look bigger. well, it should work with some optical illusions.

thanx we used some wood (skeleton base), a crap load of PU-foam (to fill up te skeleton), textile and a textile hardener. the textile with the hardener is to cover up the PU-foam to make the constuction stronger, to protect the PU-foam and to deflect bullets.

np. the tau suit isn't that difficult, the biggest problem is the helmet and chestplate. we are gonna make it out of plasticard (polystyrenesheets) all of the normal armor you can cut out and gleu together. but we have to vacuumform the helmet and chestplate, luckly i got a vacuumform machine at my school. and the gun is already made XD .a other friend of mine is making a Death korp of Krieg gredanier costume also out of (mainly) plasticard.

this is coming on quite well as you say though its hard to maintain the proportions and still make it wearable particularly in the leg and shoulder areas but its a very good adaption so much better than the usual tripe you see churned out, good job ^^

Impressive. How much would it cost for you to make me a costume and ship it to Bristol (UK)?

thanx, and you are not the first one who asked me to build one. But to build one would cost a few hundred (in your case) pounds, i have no idea how much money we put in it... we were lucky that most of our building material was free. Shipping it to the UK would cost a lot of pounds.
i might calculate some time how much it would cost to build one.

I'd be interested to hear how much it'd cost for a Space Wolf one, with the wolfs-head helmet. It'd require a LOT of saving, but if you can give me a ballpark figure...

What's the material u used in this suit? My friend's making one too, so he's curios, but doesn't have a DA account, so I asked for him ^^

we made a skeleton out of wood for the breastplate, backpack and legs (you might be able to see it in the picture). We filled the skeleton up with PU-foam, we used big-@ss isolationplates to cut pieces out of it and stuck it between the wooden skeleton. to "glue" it to the wood we also used PU-foam but out of a type of spay-can. And after that you use sandpaper to make it all smooth. To cover it all up we used fabric soaked in "paverpol" (it's a texiel hardener). for the shoulderplates and armes we just used PU-foam and the fabric with the paverpol.

thanx! i only have seen a few others but those where kinda awfall. It's hard kind maintaining the proportions and still be able to wair the costume. And the costumes i have seen have proportions that are horribly wrong, head to big, legs to stumpy etc. It's the second suit we are building and it's already a whole lot better than our first one, so i think we did a rather good job.
