The original looks like a woman, this one a man. A duality. Both are lovely. The same sorrow has two different faces. It is beautiful.

This does indeedly good, the stark contrast between the eyes and face is amazing and used well.
It doesn't take away from the whole picture. Even though the eye is a main focal point, your eye is immidiatly drawn to there which then follows down the face across the lips and to the other hidden eye, its a good line of sight.
Its does look quite good, and the hair is really good too.

I think this one is better, things like the tears look more subtle. I like subtle, its tough to pull off.
