Very nice, I could see from the thumbnail that it was a maine coon (favorite cat breed), so you've done a great job on the anatomy! The linework is so clean and detailed. Fantastic job!

He's always been very fond of cats, specifically Maine Coons. And we both felt a cat fit his actual personality more than a canine did (which was his character previously).
Regarding the markings/color, you'd have to ask him. I don't quite remember the full story. ^^
