Description Chakat Bluemist, and Sanddune, a desert stellar foxtaur embrace warmly... characters are copyright Bernard Doove, and part of his stories on the Chakat's Den website.

I ad-libbed the nebular background - which was fun.. The piece is done in Microns, watercolors and acrylic paints. I'm trying to extend my color theory a bit to make colors more reflective.. which is actually something really fun to do with paint. It was much harder to do with something like colored pencils.

A-mazing work with the colors!
You use those acrylics so well. How small brush do you use when you're working..? Pretty small, huh?

I do tend to use tiny brushes. For large washes I use larger brushes, but for detail I use a 2, 1 or 0 brush...

unless u can manage to find color pencils that use a large amount of graphite yeah not to reflective ive been lookin everywhere for em but they aint cheap

this has alot of sweet personality to it its like you know them personally.

Yes, another story is coming out very, very soon. A few Stellar Foxtaurs will make an appearance, but it's still just setting the background for the big story about them. You'll have to be patient on that though. You'll just have to be content with Kacey's gorgeous art until then.

Actually, the proper pronoun for both is "shi" (shay). But yes, it certainly does look like the Desert Stellar is gettin' a niiiiiice view.
